Indiana State Fair Announces 2026 Concert Lineup
INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana State Fair has unveiled its highly anticipated 2026 concert lineup, featuring a diverse mix of country, rock, and pop acts that organizers say will draw visitors from across the Midwest to the Indiana State Fairgrounds on East 38th Street.
The 17-day fair, scheduled for August 6-22, 2026, will host performances at the newly renovated Hoosier Lottery Grandstand, which underwent a $15 million upgrade last year to improve acoustics and expand seating capacity to 8,500.
"We're thrilled to bring this caliber of entertainment to Indianapolis," said Jennifer Martinez, Indiana State Fair Commission executive director. "This lineup represents something for everyone, from families in Carmel to college students downtown, and we expect it to be one of our strongest years yet for concert attendance."
Headliners and Special Events
The fair will kick off with country music star Kacey Musgraves on opening night, followed by performances from rock band The Killers, pop sensation Dua Lipa, and country legend Keith Urban. Additional acts include indie rock group The National, rising country star Lainey Wilson, and classic rock icons Foreigner.
A special tribute night honoring Indiana musicians will feature performances celebrating the legacy of John Mellencamp, with proceeds benefiting the Indianapolis music education programs in IPS schools.
"The economic impact of these concerts extends far beyond the fairgrounds," said Robert Chen, president of the Greater Indianapolis Hospitality Association. "Hotels from downtown to the north side, restaurants along the Monon Trail, and businesses in Broad Ripple all see increased traffic during fair season. We're projecting a 20% boost in overnight stays compared to last year."
Ticket Information and Fair Updates
Concert tickets will go on sale March 15, 2026, with presale opportunities for Indiana residents beginning March 10. Prices range from $35 for lawn seating to $125 for premium grandstand seats. Fair admission is required in addition to concert tickets.
The fair will also feature expanded food options this year, including vendors from the Fletcher Place and Fountain Square areas, showcasing Indianapolis's growing culinary scene. New attractions include a virtual reality experience and an expanded craft beer garden featuring brews from local favorites like Sun King Brewing and Taxman Brewing Company.
Free parking will be available at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with shuttle service to the fairgrounds, while premium parking remains available on-site for $15 per vehicle. Fair organizers also encourage visitors to use IndyGo bus routes, which will offer extended service during concert nights.
The Indiana State Fair typically attracts more than 800,000 visitors annually, making it one of the largest state fairs in the nation. Last year's fair generated an estimated $75 million in economic impact for the Indianapolis metropolitan area.
